What does the Buckmark Plus offer that the standard Buckmark does not? The Browning website did not offer any additional features. All I can see are nice wood grips and extra expense.
I think the only difference is the grips. If you go down to check out the Buck Mark Bullseye, listed is the plastic gripped Standard and the rosewood gripped Target. Look to be identical guns with just a differnce in grips and price - $121.
I believe the grips are the main difference. BTW the Plus wood grips are a bit on the chunky side. I did some slimming on mine especially on the edges which were a little squared off and above the pseudo thumb rest on the R side to shorten the trigger reach. It didn`t take me long and you can`t tell I did anything to them unless you grip an unaltered one but it should have to be done at all. When I ordered my Buckmark I asked for a Micro Standard. They looked all over and couldn`t find one. They finally located a Micro in Vermont about a month later but it was far from standard! The box is marked "Buckmark .22Cal. Micro Plus Nickel SE Wood Laminate Pro Target 4" Bull". The cost was enough that I`ve managed to forget it. Interestingly this exact model isn`t listed in any Browning catalogs or on their website. I don`t know if it`s the Plus option or the SE designation or what but the trigger is the best I`ve ever felt on a Buckmark (including my older Buckmark standard) or any other pistol for that matter. The two tone nickel and black is really nice with the gray/black laminate grips and it shoots GREAT. So basically I`m not sure if it is or not but if the better trigger is part of the Plus package then it`s well worth it,if not $121 is a whole lot for grips! Marcus
