Greetings - I have had a 4-inch Buckmark for many years but have not shot it much. I just found a second NIB magazine for it so I'm anxious to get it back out to shoot. But, this one is almost 20-yr old so the slide is very hard for me to retract with the hammer snapped down.
I've seen the "wings" that can be installed but they're way too big and holstering is out of the question with them installed. I saw a tiny blurb elsewhere about getting a replacement slide from Browning with (smaller) wings on it. I went to the Browning site and, sure enough, they sell slides but there is no way to tell which slide is which.
Does anyone have any more info about this? I really like the pistol & it has beautiful old-style bluing on the barrel but hard as heck to use with the sharp serrations and no wings on the slide... Thanks!
