BTJ Derringer 38 +P rated?

I have a BTJ Derringer in 38 Special. I like the gun, but have no idea if the gun is +P rated.. I tried emailing American Derringer Corp, but got no response. The barrel just says "38 SP. Cal.", so I am ASSUMING that it is not +P rated but would love if someone knew otherwise.

Looks a lot like a .22 Mag. that my former Father in Law owned.

Is ADC still in business? I thought they went under recently?

I'd not shoot +P out of, if for no other reason than to protect my fingers. :)
 
Yeah, even if it were rated for +P, your hand probably isn't.
What's it like with regular .38s?
Say, on a scale from 1 - 10, with 1 being "A piece of cake"
and 10 being "Medic, Medic!"
 
It's quite manageable with 38's, I'd say it's a 4 or 5. I tolerate recoil very well so don't take my word for it.
