I traded for a CZ 17 453 in 17 HMR it came with a BSA Sweet 17 Scope on it. I am a Leupold or Nikon guy but this little scope seems to work pretty well. What is everyone elses take on these. They seem to be decent scopes for the price I see them listed for. Just curious about overall census.
Thanks

I have one on a Savage 92r17. I was a little timid at buying it at first due to some bad experience with a BSA scope several years earlier. I bought it anyway, and have been quite happy with it. It performs as well, or better than I can!
sub MOA groups with the 17 @ 100 yds.

My experience with the Sweet 17 scope was favorable.
I first put it on a plain ordinary 17 but was not impressed with accuracy. Sold it off to guy wanting something for woodchucks in the garden, but I kept the scope and put it on a new 17. This one with a bull barrel with superb accuracy. I just got tired of the ammo prices so I sold it to a guy wanting to shoot coyotes on his farm. I suggested it was a bit too small, but he wanted it. He asked for a demo to see how it shot. (true story). I tore apart an envelope that was in the truck and told him to walk out as far as he wanted and stick the paper on a grape post or wood pile or tree as he chose where he wanted to place it. The envelope had the cancelled stamp on it. He asked if I could hit the stamp and I asked him just where he wanted to see the hole? Top, bottom, keft, or right. I then put the hole where he wanted it. Sometime later I asked about the rifle he bought from me because I thought it was too small for an animal of that average weight. He told me he drops them with no trouble because he takes a neck shot. These guys were interested in pest and predator control. They were not plinkers like I am so the ammo cost was no big deal.

Ive had one on my Savage 93R17 BTV for about 7 years now, and its been fine. I have no troubles shooting nickle to dime size groups with it at 100 yards when the wind is calm. Mostly it gets shot at 50-75 yards doing garden rabbit duty in the summer.

Perhaps you should get some REAL experience with something instead of "looking through it".

B.S.A. Scope

As a life long shooter on a tight budget, I am not a guy who has Leupold, zeiss, or nightforce on top of my long guns. In fact my mini 14 has no glass at all for the time being lol. However my single shot .223 has a B.S.A. 3X9X40 mildot up top for a couple months now and I am very happy with cue ball groups @100, softball@200, soccerball @400, and yes Im on paper at 600. Handi rifle and $100.00 b.s.a. so say what you will about the Birmingham small arms glass, But I'll put mine up against any tasco, simmons, barska,n.cstar all having the same price point!!!!!

I had a bsa. Any company willing to put their name on that kind of garbage only cares about pure profit and could not care less about making a good product.

Cheap junk made by people who do not take pride in their work.

Little OT but I've tried their Midway exclusive 6-24x44 and was very impressed, it just works well and held zero. My eyes might suck but honestly I didn't feel that much noticeable usability difference between it and nightforce NXS, SB PMII, Leupy mark 4 34mm, and hensoldts....its plenty usable even at 1000yds
