BSA scopes

Has anyone had any experience with these scopes? Midway has had them listed for quite a while and I'm curious as to whether they are a good buy or a piece of junk. They sound good on paper with some of the options offered, but for the price, they seem "too good". Obviously, I don't expect them to be in the Leupold league, but how about for a rimfire target scope?

Thanks!

Have the 8-32X Mil-Dot from Midway. Have not yet put it on anything yet (it was destined for am R1 FAL but decided to use the DSA scope rail on my SA-58 instead and top it with a Leupold). It seems to be built OK, only problem I found with it when received was a couple very small dings and a slightly loose windage knob that was easily tightened. Light transmission seems to be OK.

There are a couple of TFL members who ademently dislike BSA scopes in general. One of the shortcomings mentioned was image quality deteriorates a bit at the edges.

Personally, I was just looking for a very cheap scope for a relatively cheap rifle and the BSA fit the criteria. It was only IIRC $120 when I bought it. (They are down to $110.) If it fails, eh, no big loss. Made in China, lifetime warranty.

I just bought one last week. The Platinum 6-24X44 and I shot a 1/2" group with my 308 at 100yds after sighting it in. So far, so good.

Thanks for the info! I just ordered one to try for rimfire match use. I just couldn't pass up the features for less than $100.
