I have a BSA contender on my 10/22 "sniper".

I really like it, 1/8 MOA finger turrents, sunshade , Adjustable obj, and 3-12x.

Do y'all think it would stand up to the recoil of a .243?

I only paid $85 for it, and I like it, but I know that you get what you pay for...

where have the corners been cut on this one?

i wouldn't trust it. they have problems holding zero. id go with the walmart nikons or leupods before id use that. before i bought my bar it had a bsa on it. he told the dealer that they needed to re barrel it because he couldn't hit anything with it. i put a leupold fixed six power on it and its piratically a tack driver for a semi auto 338.

Thanks maas,

I did order another one anyhow. This is not for "the hunt of a lifetime", if it breaks, I will return it.

Before I take it hunting, I have to work up a few loads at the range. If it turns out to be a POS, I will have time to rectify the situation without too much difficulties.

I am happy with the one I have, it has held zero through almost a thousand rounds of ammo and banging around in the trunk.

If I turn out to be wrong on this one, I'll let you know that you told me so. :)

I bought one years ago at Wally mart. Would not keep zero and it was terrible to get sighted in.

There is a guy at my range with a huge hubbel telescope version on a .17, I think that seems somewhat pleased with it.

BSA scopes

I had a BSA 2 x 20 in a Scout mount on my 6.5 x 55 Swede for about a year. No problems with it. But I switched it out because I wanted a wider objective lens and more magnification.
