BSA Raylock .22

I picked up a semi-auto rifle yesterday at a guns how but cannot find any information on it. It was made by Birmingham Small Arms and looks to be marked as a Raylock on receiver. Semi-auto with tube in buttstock (like a Browning 22 take-down), take-down design, does not have an ejector port but instead the the trigger guard pulls down and the gun opens on the bottom of the receiver in front of the forearm where the empties collect. According to the guy I bought it from, the gun shoots .22 Short only. Just wanted to see if I might get any information on this gun.

I cannot add anything, I have seen exactly one of these and it was nearly 40 years ago. Not common in the Colonies, don'cha know, old chap. Empties collecting in the recess of the trigger guard would help keep the range tidy, and thwart CSI, too.
