BSA Monarch Rifle

I recently acquired a BSA bolt action rifle in .243. It appears to be a Monarch model, although I cannot find an identifying model name on it. It's a lovely rifle and shoots very well but I cannot figure out how to remove the bolt for cleaning. The seller removed the bolt for me at the gun show by apparently pressing down on the trigger guard while holding the rifle's muzzel down. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Own a BSA U9 rifle in 6mm Remington sold in U.S. by the old Herters company back in the late 60s or early 70s. Removing its bolt is kinda odd. Took me awhile to figure it out. Never have seen a Monarch BSA. Try this:

Need to open the bolt and pull it back a little and then while PUSHING FORWARD on trigger, continue pulling back on bolt to remove it. In mine, their is a retainer in the trigger assembly preventing bolt removal, that will drop when the trigger is pushed forward.
