I have friends who like cheap guns. Such is life. One has a Bryco 380 for several years.

He has lost the instructions for disassembly and it is not intrinsically obvious.

Be a nice set of guys and if anyone knows how
to take this apart, let me know and I'll tell him

If you want to make fun of the gun, I'll let you tell my buddy personally. Heavy lifter,
ex-wrassler and Harley rider.

Just tell your friend to pull the trigger on the gun a few more times while it's loaded, and it SHOULD come right apart for ya.

Try this, maybe it'll work...
with gun unloaded, pull trigger. On rear of slide is a doodad with a hole in the center? push in with a pen until you can lift the back of the slide off the frame.

When you push that thing in and pull the slide off the frame, you may want to be careful you don't get hit in the face with the striker spring. I used to have a Jennings and I believe that was the drill.

oops... double tap...

I NEED a new computer

Glenn E. Meyer,

Take your finger off the trigger my friend. If I offended you OR your Bryco, I apologize. I guess I was just in a good mood that day. Deep breath... aahhh.
Take care bud,
Ben

That's ok. Cranky at work today.
My fault.

Thanks for the advice. I will pass it on
to the biker dude.

Interestingly, I got buddies who just won't pass up a cheap gun or knife.

Glenn-Err, yeah, great little shooter ain't it? Wouldn't trade mine for a broken, rusty, horseshoe :) Seriously, do what the guys above say. When pushing on that little button "thingie", pull back and up on the rear of the slide. It'll come right off. Just watch out for a lot of really small parts falling out of it. Goes back together in reverse order.

Speaking of cheap guns, Top, how's that J-22 of yours? ;)

I have owned a Jennings .380 for several years. While inexpensive, it has NEVER had an issue while firing and is very reliable. Maybe I got lucky, but maybe expensive isn't always better!

John,

Welcome to TFL, but this is what we call a pointless resurrection of a thread, this one nearly 12 years old.

If you're replying to a thread as if you're addressing the original poster, and it's this old, 99% of the time it's a thread whose time has come and gone and nothing new will be gained by anyone from your reply.

If you have something truly new to add to the subject your best bet is to start a new thread in the semi-autos forum.
