Brownings

I'm not much of a shotgunner. I have one, an Rem 870 express that I take every now and then to shoot some clays thrown from one of those hoppes pullers. I took my ten year old out and he he shot well so we're looking for an 870 youth at a gunshow. I would also like to get a 20 ga for my Frau as she thinkls the 12 ga. beats her up.

One table had a used browning 20 ga pump. I picked it up and that thing just flew to the shoulder, fit and seemed well balanced. My wife liked it too. He wanted jyuts under $400 for it. Now, unfortunately I hjust ordered three M1 garands and a BAR form Ohio Ordnance so the funds were dry. I tried to convice my wife to buy it from the household account but she didn't. Are all them Brwonings this nice? Methinks I gotta get one. :D

400 is awfully steep for a used BPS, unless it is a high grade model. They are right at 400 new. Yes they are good guns, well made and durable. I have had several. They are a PITA to strip and re-assemble as they are tightly fitted. I personally would not even consider over $325 for a used BPS unless I could not tell it had been out of the box.

NO Pumps!!!

I would caution about a pump for the wife they have much more felt recoil. any gas operated gun would be much better ,a Beretta 390 or 391 ,you/she will never regret it .
Best
