Browning x bolt Hunter 30-06 barrel question

Is it just me or, do these barrels on this particular rifle seem awful skinny for their caliber compared to most other brands? What kind of accuracy for those that own this model in any caliber, get for a 3 shot group at 100yds? Thanks! :)
 
My buddies shoots under an inch depending on ammunition. He doesn't reload and he like Federal premium with TTSX bullets. It will start walking on you if you get the barrel hot. The X-bolt is a hunting rifle not a bench rifle so anything close to an inch for a shot group would make me happy.
