Browning Semi-Auto .22 any good?

I was looking at the Browning catalog yesterday and saw the Browning semi-auto .22 that was designed by Browning himself. Does anyone have any experience with this gun? What's a good price for one? Thanks.

I played with one for some 20 years. Extremely reliable with any old LR ammo. Plenty accurate for plinking. The takedown feature makes it a nice backpacking critter.

Haven't paid attention to prices in recent years. Fjestad's Blue Book sez a Grade I Belgian in 90% version is worth $300; a "just a shooter" is worth $200. The made-in-Japan is $200 in 90%; $140 for a shooter.

Good. I haven't looked at 22s for a while, but when I did the lil Browning was head and shoulders above em all. Take down. Field strips in one second. Good iron sights also. The inside of mine (belgian)is finished almost as good as the outside.:D The Japanese Brownings are even better built than the Belgians because the machines are new, although a purist will turn their nose up. Do not forget the Rem model 24. The exact gun except made by Remington. From the 1920s till not that long ago it was the only version of this gun to be had and a very well made gun indeed.
