Browning Medalist

I should have got one when the getting was good but I didn't. So what can I expect to pay for one now, in excellent condition with the original wood case?

I've seen the same one repeatedly at a gun show in PA for $1400. Another guy has one without the case & accys for $1000. A gun shop in Philly has one for $2000 w/ case & accys.

Gunbroker has several listed, bids range from $700 for bare guns and several complete with accessories and box from $1,000 to $1,500 and up. It's worth a visit just to see them, nice looking guns.

I was tracking them on Gunbroker for a while (such pretty guns!). Most of them (with case and accessories) were listed for $1400-1800 but I never saw one sell for that much. The few I saw actually sell went for $900-1000.

The problem is actually finding someone willing to sell for that price.

A Medalist (non International version) with box and all the correct toys will set you back $1200 -$1400 in mint condition.

Today, I attended the Ohio Gun Collector Association's gun show in Willmington, Ohio and found and purchased a Medalist in "very good" condition (scratches on the wood but the bluing still pretty nice), worn presentation box, barrel weights and cartridge holder included but only one magazine and no owner's manual. Anybody know where I can get an owner's manual and spare magazines (I'm under the impression the Browning Nomad and Challenger model mags will work)?
As an aside, I met Donald Trump's son at the show. He spent several hours talking with dealers and attendees. Thanks everyone for your inputs and advice.
