Browning HP Question

Located a "Parkerized" HP today in a local shop. It has a few scratches...but looks to be in good over-all shape. The hammer is the "tang" type. 9mm. It's priced at $325. Assembled in Portugal.
Is this any kind of deal?
I don't NEED another HP but I could be talked into a purchase if it's a decent deal.
Thanks.

It is a Browning, assembled in Portugal? Sounds like a good deal to me, especially if it comes with a regular-cap mag or two. But the only Portugal-assembled ones I have seen were blued, not Parked.

See if you can get it out the door for three bills . . .

A.Eric,
I'll give it a try. I also had not seen a HP Parkerized. It may have been refinishes...but it does not look that way. It has a single hi-cap mag.

$325 is a pretty good price for an FN/Browning Hi-Power in good condition. I'd definitely buy it at that price; but I like Hi-Powers.

The late MkIIs and early MkIII models came with a parkerized finish. The first Hi-Power I ever owned (a 1989 MkIII model) had that finish on it and it was a pretty effective finish, although it tends to get a little greenish-gray over time.

If you use the "Search" feature at http://www.fnhipower.com/
forums, Steve Camp has written an excellent check list for purchasing used Hi-Powers.
