Browning hi power sport

Just looked up a Browning hi power sport model . Would appreciate any info on the difference bet the HP MKIII and the sport model. Am really having a hard time choosing one over the other. Thank you in advance!

Clarence,

Sport model? Browning's current catalog lists five HighPower models: Standard, MarkIII, Silver Chrome, Practical, and Capitan. These models are listed as being available in 9mm and .40 s&w.

Mechanically, these models are identical. Differences are really cosmetic, i.e., finish, grips, and sights. Just my personal opinion, but I like the finishes of the MarkIII and Standard. I prefer the fixed sights over the adjustable ones, and the walnut grips of the Standard over the other grips...but of course, your mileage may vary...

The HighPowers are in short supply now, but FN has said they will import only(?) MarkIII HighPowers toward the end of this year/early next year.
