It's time to change the mainspring from a nominal 32# to 26#. As with everything, "technique" can be the difference between an easy job and a difficult task. I know that Brownell's offers the "third hand" device to help you through the chore, but I suspect that there are a few purists out there who have the task down pat. I would appreciate any suggestions,cautions or techniques.
