browning hi power ambidexterous safety

Hello, so I'm looking around for an ambidextrous safety to install on my 1970's ish HP, and possibly my FEG (which seems to be an exact copy)

Looking around online, there seems to be complaints of not receiving a necessary pin/potentially not fitting the reviewers model/ left and right being sold separately etc etc.

Can anyone offer any advice or point me in the right direction? I'm left handed and just installed an ambi safety on my 1911. I'd like to have my other guns to follow suit.

For ambi safeties I suggest the factory MKIII part. You can get it directly from Browning for $50.

Do not buy the C&S part. It is horrible.

What's so horrible about the Cylinder & Slide double ambi-safety --- since I might have one on my BHP?

If you can try a MKIII before you buy, I would. Mine has a factory ambi safety, and its annoying. The right side lever tries to pinch my trigger finger when you sweep it off.

I had the same issue with my AR's that had them. They dont anymore.

Dang, there was a gun show this weekend and I stupidly didn't try out any HPs with the ambi safety. I was giddy about getting 9 HP magazines for 75 bucks (an assortment of different makes and models)

Man, I always wanted a Hi power. They just have a character all their own. I had forgot about it until I read this posting. Damn, I hate it when that happens. Now you'll have forced me to go to the gun stores tomorrow and shop for one again. I hope you're happy. Hope the prices gotten any better.

On the the C&S ambi sits much higher and further back on the frame. This makes a thumbs forward shooter have to hold their left thumb almost straight up to cock the forward part of the thumb at a 90 degree angle.

Also the design puts the lever in a bad position for instinctive manipulation. IMHO
