Browning Gold Shotgun Value

Anyone have any idea what a Blued Browning Gold Hunter 12 GA. (Early 2000's Model) that is at about 98 % condition is worth. It has a 26 IN backbored vented rib barrel with the invector plus chokes. The stock is the glossy wood. If you don't know, is there anywhere on the net that I can get the used value of guns. I know there are books that are published with gun values, but I am just trying to get a ballpark figure.

That's a pretty good price Clayfish.

I guess it all depends on where you live and if you are buying or selling.

Do you want to sell it for $500?

I know a buyer...

I'll sell you mine for $600!

Look at gunbroker and auction arms websites, see what they are going for there.

Around here it would be on the rack for $600ish and sell for that. Private sales would be low to mid $500 range.

Thanks for the input guys. If I remember just right I think I gave just a little over $600 for it years ago. I am trying to sale it to my brother in law and was thinking somewhere around $500 to $525 would be pretty close being that he is family. I have not shot it that much other than a few bird hunts and it did put down a 27 pound bobcat on one hunt. The reason I am thinking about selling it is I am going to be in the market for a left handed semi auto shotgun in the future. I get tired of the smoking hulls ejecting out in front of my face. I want a lite weight semi auto left handed 12 GA. I know Benelli makes them and they are pretty high priced but are they worth it? Anyone know of another company that makes a decent left handed semi auto shotgun that is lite weight. I was kind of hoping that Browning would come out with a left handed Gold Hunter soon. If they do I guess that will be my next shotgun. Any input would be appreciated guys and any gals out there.

Grice Gun Shop has a couple of dozen Gold Hunters in their ding and dent rack - new salesman demo guns. Some of which have never been shot.

Average price was $650 - with the 3 factory choke tubes, wrench , lock, owners manual. No origional box.

Some you cannot tell from new!

If they make it - Grice sells it!

I would take a Gold and smoking hulls across the face over a Benelli any day but I have only owned right hand models of both;) :D

According to the Catalog, a Browning Gold Classic Hunter in excellent condition is listed at $525, very good at $400.

Good luck on your search for a southpaw shotgun. They're few and far between.
