After seeing so many complaints about various company's customer service I thought I'd share a positive story:
I have had a Buckmark camper for over 16 years, and it finally was in need of a few new parts.
I have literally put this gun through a non stop torture test - entire bricks of ammo before oiling it, rarely cleaning the bore, and only occasionally taking it apart for a real detailed cleaning. It has well over 100,000 rounds though it and its easily my favorite plinker on the range or in the field. Despite running it ragged, it has very rarely failed to go bang when I pull the trigger, until very recently...
The plastic rear sight base had a groove worn in the underside- the recoil guide rod had rubbed a channel in it, and as a result, the firing pin was now out of alignment with the chamber face. It was barely making contact with the cartridge rim.
I called Browning, with my CC in hand and expected to be paying for a few parts to get it back up and running. After listening to my description of the problem, and my story of how I have tried to make it break/ fail for 16+ years, she assured me that it was still under warranty. I was pleasantly surprised when she told me parts would ship the next day.
Today I received an entire new top end to my buckmark - the new metal rear sight base, slide, firing pin, springs, screws, buffer, extractor...
Hats off to Browning for standing behind their product!
