Browning citori 425 sporting clays, to buy or not to buy??

smokin' barrels

I'm looking at a Browning Citori 425 sporting clays with 30" barrels and Briley light modified chokes. condition of the gun is great, pulls up nice. I'm just curious if anyone has had experience with this gun and how durable it is

Thanks.

The durability will be there - I have a model that the 325 and 425 were derived from and it is now 18 years old with about 200,000 rounds through it

I knew a guy years ago who had a 425. It was one of my favorite guns, but I never got around to buying one.

Its one of the Citori line of guns ( they currently have 28 models I believe )...

Its part of the Citori line ...325, 425, 525, 625 ..and now the 725....each of them are a little different in terms of stock specs ( drop at comb and at heel, and weight, and balance...

but in terms of durability ...ther is not a Citori made ....ever ....that will not go 500,000 trouble free shells....in my opinion.

Went and put it on lay away today. Good thing too because the person at the store said someone else was looking at it a few days ago...beat him to it! :D

425

You won't be disappointed. I've had one since 96 or so, I don't know how many rounds I've shot through it but it's been many, it's my skeet, trap and sporting clays gun. The durability, fit and function cannot be beat in my opinion. I too have 30" barrels. To say it's my favorite shotgun is an understatement.:)
