Browning Challenger III Jamming

I have a Challenger III that stove pipes almost every round. The rounds appear to feed correctly, but do not appear to be held very tightly to the slide face by the ejector. This seems to have a lot of fore to rear movement in it. Any ideas on what might cause this issue?

A broken or collapsed extractor spring. Either way, it could have swelled up in its hole when compressed, and now the extractor is sitting loose.

By stovepiping, I assume it feeds okay, but wont extract, and shoves another round into the rear of the one in the chamber? If so, and the extractor is loose, then that is your culprit.
