Browning Buck Mark Pistol

My buck mark will only fire when I set and unset the safety switch.
Some times it will fire two or three rounds before I need to set and unset the safety switch. I have done a field strip and cleaned the pistol to no avail.
I have tried different ammo and different mags again to no avail.
HELP

Thanks people. Found the fault.
The disconnect spring, behind the grip, was broken. Just about 2mm of the end where it pushes against the disconnect bar. All fixed, lubed and firing well.

It seems that the firing pin safety block does not move out completely from the path of the firing pin. I would start out with a simple disassembly of the pistol and give it a thorough cleaning and lube.

Sounds like the safety lever and/or the safety click plate maybe be slightly out of place and/or loose/damaged.

The Buckmark design uses the grips to locate and retain several parts. Check under the grip panels and make sure all springs are present and all parts are properly located and retained. Gunpartscorp has a parts schematic on their website if you don't have a manual showing the parts breakdown.
