So I'm checking out this gun, it's looking pretty awesome to me, but I'd like to hear what people have to say who have actually shot this gun I'm getting in to trap and skeet maybe will want to compete, right now I'm using my field gun, I'd like to get a trap gun to devote to competition training... so let me know what you think.

I still regret selling my BPS. It was the finest pump I've ever owned. Other than being a little heavy, it was a great gun in every way.

Learned to shoot off Dad's BPS. Still has to be one of the smoothest firearms I've ever shot. Don't have a shotgun now...but when I do purchase one, it will be the BPS.

The BPS trap model is a great gun for the money. I purchased one in 1979 and still have it. It has never had a failure in 30 years and two sons using it. If you get one make sure it has the magazine cutoff. They made some I think in 2005 as a shot show special that did not have it.

The BPS is a a very good gun / Trap model - is a good model. I still have a couple of BPS's -even though I don't shoot them much anymore - the BPS was the gun I started shooting Trap with about 25 or 30 yrs ago.

I prefer O/U's for Trap and Skeet - but nothing wrong with a BPS if that's where your budget is.

My first shotgun, as well. I love shooting the bps. I tend to shoot it more than my citori lightning when it comes to skeet/clays. May be why I haven't knocked a quail out of the air in years!
