I have not shot a BLR 22 in several years, but the last one I shot was smooth as silk with a trigger that broke like a 1/8" glass rod! Anyone who shoots that action should fall in love with it. Unless I'm wrong (& I've been wrong before!), there might be something slightly off with your trigger.
You might consider having a gunsmith take a look at it. Is it new? Have you called the folks at Browning?
