I just recently purchased a Browning BDA .380, does anyone have any comments as to good, bad about it ?
Have heard that anther brand mag will work but cannot remember which brand or model.(got 2 10 round mags with it and want the 13 rounders.)
Also does anyone have any recommendations as to a good ccw load for this firearm.
Don't ask me what I paid, I know I paid too much!;)

Greeting's Bushwacker,

BDA .380, you say? Beautiful weapon; especially with the nickel
finish. I think the other manufacturer's magazine's you are speaking of is the Beretta 84/85 series. After all, it's my understanding that Beretta made these weapons for Browning?

Congrat's on your purchase; enjoy!!!

I forgot to mention that I had one back in the late 80's and it got stolen, didn't get that much of a chance to shoot it.
When I saw this one figured I better grab it while I could...... :D

Ala Dan is indeed correct, Beretta did manufacture the BDA 380 for Browing. It's a Beretta Model 84 with a closed slide.
I had one and really liked it. Carried it often. Eventually traded it for its bigger brother the Beretta Custom Carry. Mine was never ammo sensitive, just ate everything I fed it. Used Winchester Silvertips as carry ammo.
Congratulations and good luck.

I never picked up a browning version but my little beretta 84 is exceptionally reliable. Never had a problem with it and it really likes the 13 rnd mags.

Likewise! I bought mine in the early 80's. The only ammo I have ever had a problem with were the Corbons--noticably hotter, but I got a jam every 3 or 4 rounds. Otherwise HydraShoks or Silvertips are good. I've used many different HPs & FMJs, even cast lead reloads...it all works. At the time, during the wonder-nine era, I looked at the 9's, but the compact size & light recoil of the .380 were a big plus for my wife. And now, my daughter shots it.

try Hornady XTP-JHP 1000+ fps

nice carry load i think u will like it

i have a nickel BDA the most beautiful gun i own
the beretta 13rd will fit

as far as accuracy i still like my Sig P230
