Browning BDA .380 price check

I saw one of these today @ my local shop for $300. It is new, unfired, but previously owned (I looked at it pretty closely - it does look new).

Anyways, $300 seems like a pretty attractive price. Can anybody comment on either the gun or the price?

I wasn't actually in the market for a .380, I'm just always scouting for "good deals" & this is a gun that caught my eye.

It is a nice gun at an attractive price. I am no great fan of full sized 380s, but I could be caught at a weak moment and buy one. Watch-Six
 
I like those pistols a lot...

...although they are fairly large for the caliber.

In my area, $300 is a very good price for a BDA in excellent shape.

I have a nice .380 a CZ 83. I love my gun and the only other .380
I have shot that I would love as much is the BDA. 300$ is a very good price for a new one...a gun store in the city has a very very
clean blue/wood grips gun for 379 $ which is reasonable around here. I would buy it!....its not quite as big as other "full size" guns.
Its size is a nice design of balance. The grip is large enough to
have max. control and it has a large capacity double stack mag.
I believe you can get 12/13 rnd mags for it...much like my CZ.
Its small enough to conceal if that is an issue....Its dependable and the one I shot was very accurate. Good luck and shoot well
 
CDNN is selling new ones for $369 blue and $389 nickel----so in the condition you say it is---that would be a good price.
 
Just sold mine since it was too hard for the female companion to manipulate during clearance/stoppage drills. Not enough "area" for her to get a purchase on.

As already mentioned, the BDA .380 is a bit large and you may be better served with a comparably sized 9mm. It is a matter of preference.

Standard capacity (13 round) magazines are still out there and can be difficult to find. Mine were $50 each NIB at the gun show while factory 10 rounders NIB were $25 each. The pistol also accepts Beretta model 84 magazines as they are identical (even the Browning magazines are made by Beretta). The pistol is also manufactured by Beretta under license for Browning.

I liked the pistol for its reliability. It did not like hollowpoints much, (Winchester Silvertips) even after I polished the feed ramp. It was accurate enough at 35 feet on paper and handled well during informal multiple target/rapid engagement drills. The wood grips are pretty and functional, but I went Pachmayr anyway (keeps the wood grips intact for future sale).

All in all a well crafted pistol for the money, but if I had to do it again I'd go CZ 83 as Eric has done.

The price Rugerfreak quoted is what they sell for in my area.
 
Sample: Don't know where in Pennsylvania you're located, but here in Southwestern PA, that's a great price for a nice .380 pistol.

Also, if you're anywhere near me, I can suggest a few places to check out the CZ83 (which I actually prefer to the Browning/Beretta).

Thanks for the responses. I'm going to the shop tonite for a 2nd look. I think I may end-up buying it. I noticed that CDNN sells "new replacement" 13 round magazines for this gun for $14. Pretty reasonable price for hi-caps.
