Does the Browning A-Bolt Stainless Stalker (The left handed Model) have a free floating barrel?

On the right handed model, it says it's a free floated barrel

On the left handed model, it doesn't say anything about a free floated barrel

Im confused??
Did they not put free floating barrel on the info for the left handed model because they figured the right handed model has it so the left handed one would also have it?

Or did they not put that in the info simply because it does not have a free floated barrel?

Thanks a bunch!

If I recall, mine didn't have one.

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter anyway. Its a hunting rifle. It only needs to deliver 1.5 MOA.

Yep. But all my rifles are right handed versions. Have you looked at an X-Bolt? Browning is phasing out the A-Bolt and replacing it with the X-Bolt.

Check your barrel float with a dollar bill by sliding the bill down the forend between the barrel and the stock. If the bill gets stuck then you need to remove some wood in that area however if it slides freely down to the chamber area of the barrel you should be ok.

I have an A-Bolt too and I replaced the entire stock with a Bell & Carleson Medalist which is constructed around a solid aluminum bedding block. My A-Bolt is chambered in 375 mag and the recoil disintegrated the factory stock around the reciol lug recess. If you are having accuracy problems check the recoil lug recess for sloppy fit or cracks and glass bed the recoil lug if you spot a problem. Also Timmney makes a spring set for the A-Bolt trigger and what a difference for $20.Timmney does not list the spring set but you can contact them regarding.

My right handed 7mm Rem Mag Stainless Stalker is free floated all the way back. The recoil lug is also bedded in the factory stock (though I can't identify what kind of compound is used).
