i have a belgium made browning a-5 light in 12 guage. i would say the gun is in 90-95% condition. as the stock and butt are flawless, but there is some minor discoloration in the bluing at the ejection port. the only numbers i could get off the gun are 8G8369. any ideas on the value? standard barrell. i am not sure if the gold color trigger are standard but others i have seen dont have it. any input would be fantastic! i do have the original paperwork that came with it when my grandfather purchased the gun from sears & roebuck.

Per the BB, a 1968 flat-knob A5 Lightweight 12ga in the condition described would retail, used, @ about $450 (plain bbl), and $550 (VR bbl).

AFAIK, a gold trigger was standard for that era.

One thing you have to consider is how the market is and gun values go up and down with the economy.
Condition is the deciding factor on any gun bought or sold and how rare it is.

Look on gunbroker, auctionarms or guns america to find out what the prices are.

thanks very much for the responses. so... not worth very much, but a classic still. gun shoots fantastic. shot it this season dove hunting.
