I have a A-5 20 gauge thats now a single shot. While shooting it something broke inside, a small metal part was found inside the action. It appears that it came from inside the barrel shroud in a small recess opposite of the extractor cut in the barrel. The "tab/part" that broke off is about 1/8"W x 3/16"L. Can anyone tell me anythig about this and how it might be repaired?
Thank you, Steve.

Sounds like the ejector came of of the barrel extension. Its rivetted in place. Go to the Browning web Site and they have a owners manual for it showing the parts break down.

As far as repairs, you will find some highly recomended gunsmiths on shotgunworld web site. If you do not have a good one locally.

Concur - it's almost assuredly the ejector. The good news is that it's not a difficult repair and parts are not hard to find.
