Browning 725 Sporting vs Beretta equal

I am in the market for a new over/under. I like the new 725 sporting and I want to know if any of you have experience with this gun or the Beretta equal (I don't know that model number)?

I want a 28/30 inch barrel and I like the extended choke tubes. Porting is not as important I don't think, unless any of you think that porting is a big help.

Any ideas???

Thanks in advance.

Don't ask us. Head out to the range. Most places have lots of folks that will answer questions from a polite newcomer and lend out their guns for a shot or 25.

I shoot a Beretta White Onyx Sporter. These have the same actions as the upscale models, plainer wood and less ornamentation. Shoots fine..

All porting does on shotguns is make things louder.

Any of the various Beretta 68X series will do for comparison sakes. Remember, Browning and Beretta use different stock dimensions as their action dimensions are different - that means if one maker fits you very well, the odds the other one won't, so heed Dave's advice and go out to try as many as you can before you spend

I shot a 686 a couple of days ago and liked it... but didn't really have anything to compare it to.

How does the SV10 compare to the 725 sporting?

the equal by Beretta would be the new 12 gauge SV10 Prevail sporting version...
