Browning .22 pistol

I am trying to identify a pistol I have just purchased. It is a Browning in .22LR with a gold trigger and a top rail with 4 vents. It seems similar to the Medallist, but all the pictures of the Medallist I have seen show 5 vents. The barrel (I estimate is 4.5" - 5.0"). It was made in Herstal, Belgium. I do have a picture available.

Browning International Medalist

Decpat , does your Browning look like the picture above? This was the Browning International Medalist made from 1977-1980. About 700 were sold in the USA. Hope this helps!

Browning pistol

:)Hi Steve
Thanks so much for that. You seem to have rung the bell. I have attached one of my pictures. As you can see, the grip is not standard. The additional confusion for me was the omission of the wooden forend on this version. Do you have any idea where I can look for additional information as normal (ie Google) searches do not seem to be very fruitful?
Again, thanks very much.
