Hi, I am curious if anyone has any experience with the $83.99 short chambered Mauser barrels from Brownells? I have used the Adams& Bennet barrels from Midway with good results, but The 21" F14 contour is a little short, and the 24" F34 is kind of heavy. what kind of contour do the Brownells barrels have? any idea who makes them? I heard the Adams& bennet are made by E.R.Shaw, but I can't confirm that. Any other good sources for inexpensive decent barrels?

I have used the $83.99 short chambered Mauser barrels from Brownells. with great success.
Working now on a 1893 Mauser in 257 Roberts.
The first time shooting with the 87 grain bullets gave about 1.25 inch groups. With the 117 grain bullet And 3031 I got a 1/2 inch group.
I built five other actions up with equal results.
They like the heaver bullets.
