Brownells Mauser barrels?

Anyone know who makes the Mauser barrels Brownells sells under their house brand?

Anyone tried these? Are they any good?

No idea, but it says they're stress relieved, so they should be consistent bore diameter. Krieger's commercial grade barrel operation, Criterion, makes button rifled stress-relieved barrels on an OEM basis. It may be theirs. But there are a lot of other shops out there.

There are great Shaw barrels and terrible Shaw barrels.
Knowing Brownells, they got the good ones.
When Midway started selling Shaw barrels as Addams and Bennett in ~ 2001, I received some amazingly bad barrels. Bent .5" or rough as a cob inside. Then they shipped some good ones.

I have been able to get very good groups with very bad barrels by not letting them get hot and warp, and by cleaning out the Copper fouling. The effort means that the barrel may not be worth my time, but it also means that group size is not a good measure of a barrel.

Even a $260 premium custom barrel that is stress relieved and factory lapped, may quickly Copper foul until broken in.

What does it all mean?
If you are like me and trying to shoot ruminants beyond 500 yards and rodents past 250 yards, then how fast a barrel Copper fouls is a big deal.
But if you are shooting ruminants at 100 yards, then it will not matter much.
