Bronze Brush Safe in Chrome-Lined Barrels?

Is a bronze bore brush (as opposed to a nylon one) safe for use in chrome-lined barrels?

Why is it that many gunmakers ship their firearms with nylon bore brushes (Springfield, Glock, CZ and even the Romanian SAR-1) instead of bronze ones?

Chrome is way, way, harder than a bronze bore brush. It wouldn't hurt your barrel in a million years. The real danger is from a jointed steel cleaning rod, like a military rod. Those things are terrible on barrels, especially if they're used from the muzzle end. -- Kernel

Think about several hundred copper jacketed rounds leaving your barrel at 3000 FPS, then ask yourself how fast you scrub the barrel with your bronze brush. :)
