Broken hand spring

Alright guys the hand spring in my 58 remmy broke today. What's a good quality spring replacement? Or where's the best place to order from?

Depending upon who mde it,

You can get a kit of internals from Cabela's which has a lot of parts for about 30 bucks.

VTI and Dixie Gun Works have parts and will talk to you on the phone with advice.

I'd buy the whole hand and don't try to replace the spring. Many on the forum disagree on the strength of the argument that a new hand can require fitting which can be finnicky. This is a good argument.

And while replacing hand springs (or assemblies), I have found it's the best deal to order at least 3 of them, and any screws you might have stripped/buggered. (You're gonna need em one day and you'll save lots on shipping.) :)

Guys sorry my bad that was a mistake on my part. I meant broken main spring. It was late last night after eatin when I typed this. I don't know what I was thinking. But it is the main spring, I've already replaced a handspring.

OK I am somewhat "handy"but would still feel better having as competent Gunsmith got the part.It gets a lot of cycling and the timing of the cylinder depends on the proper fit.
