Hi, I have an offer for $300 + shipping for this Brno Vz 24 with sharp rifling BUT mismatched bolt. Is it safe to shoot you think? Pictures:

Thanks for the input!

take it to a gunsmith to get the headspace checked. that's the only problem I can think of. if the headspace is fine then you should be G2G.

Will that cost a lot you think? Can somebody explain the technical reasons for matching bolt to the receiver. Is it the way the locking lugs fit into the receiver? Can you also explain Go vs No Go gauge. And how headspacing works to the face bolt? And I hear that rimmed catridges are easier i.e. 7.62x54r and .303 british because the catridge headspaces at the base?

I'll be honest, I'm not fully versed in all the technicalities of headspacing. I can tell you that go/no go gauges are super easy to use. the GO gauge is set at the minimum spec for headspace and the no go is set JUST beyond the max. in short the GO gauge is suppose to chamber and the NO GO isn't. if the GO won't chamber or the NO GO will then the headspace is out of spec.

I doubt a gunsmith would charge much to check headspace. I would take it to a smith rather than ordering gauges because then he can inspect it for you too and look for other problems.
