Motorist is shot dead in Yardie attack
BY STEWART TENDLER, CRIME CORRESPONDENT
GUNMEN on motorcycles ambushed and killed a
20-year-old man in North London yesterday. Scotland
Yard is linking the shooting to the Yardie drugs gangs and
officers from Operation Trident - the investigation into the
Jamaica-based gangs - are working with murder squad
detectives on the case.
Menalic Robinson was shot at the wheel of his BMW
after two motorcycles, each carrying a pillon passenger,
blocked him from driving along the Upper Clapton Road
or reversing.
As the BMW slowed to a stop, the pillon passenger from
the front motorcycle climbed off and fired into the car. Mr
Robinson staggered out of his car and the gunman fired
several more shots at him. The motorcycles then sped off.
Two off-duty doctors and a policeman tried to save the
dying man.
The murder is latest in a series of attacks in the area in the
past year. So far, police have no descriptions of the
riders, their passengers or their machines. http://www.the-times.co.uk/news/pages/Times/frontpage.html?999

We have a criminal jury system which is superior to any in the world;
and its efficiency is only marred by the difficulty of finding twelve men
every day who don't know anything and can't read.
