Breda Autoloading shotgun

Great take down video

RoadRocket, I inherited a Breda 12ga auto shotgun from my grandfather. He purchased the gun new in 1957 for $350.00 US dollars. I have the reciepts as well. Unfortunately the gun got damp while in storage at my parents. I am now looking to have it refinished. Many do not even know this brand of gun. Any idea on what the value is?? I was quoted to remove minor surface pitting in a few areas, refinish the stock and install new butt plate for $300.00-$350.00. I felt that was very fair. Any opinions. The gun has not been fired in 30 years. The bore is spotless so I loaded a few shells. It fired fine but did not eject the spent shell. I had to pull the slide back to eject it. I also was confused with the little switch on the side that gets in the way when you try to load the shells, can you explain. Thanks for any help. The gun just says Breda Bressciana, I did not see anything else.

Thanks,

Henry in New Jersey
