Breaking news -- hostage-taking in Charlotte

Ongoing at this moment: a hostage-taking and a police standoff at an office building here in Charlotte. Hostage-taker armed, one report says with a machine gun. (Yeah, right.) And just two weeks before the NRA annual convention comes to town! My, how convenient.

All kidding aside hope it ends soon and peaceful.
 
The situation has been resolved, and a 29-year old guy is in custody. No shots were fired, but one hostage suffered an asthma attack (the incident occurred in a medical office building here in town). As you might expect, it's a domestic problem -- the guy's wife worked in the building and was one of his hostages. The local police have a news conference set for 3 p.m. today.

No blood shed, so I guess another sleeper will have to be activated before the NRA convention.
 
Yep, must be time to ban BB guns also. Klintin/Bore will probably propose a BB gun ban today.
