Fresh from Slovenia this week.... a MiHec 454423 HP. This is a great design. I have this one in a NOE mold and I'm anxious to see how Miha did with his version of it.

There is a lot of hardware that comes with just a 2 cav mold. 4 complete pin sets! Cup, large HP, flat nose, and penta.

I'm using the HP and the cup points today.

Also, the NOE 359-190 GC, which was part of a Group Buy and I never got around to casting with it due to my not casting during the summer heat and just noticed it sitting back there on the back of the mold shelf, still taped up. So it's going under the ProMelt today as well. :)

I'm going to go find some of the NOE version to compare.....

.... well, apparently I don't have any from that mold handy. I guess I'll have to cast some more tomorrow. :)

But here's a few from the 359-190

Wow those are some squatty 45 pills there,

a few from the 359-190

Oh my, now why did ya have to go and post that up?? Sheesh, now I gotta add it to, well just looked, "Tha List" isn't there anymore, well only cause I haven't added the two I just contacted Mihec about anyway. Least now it's a short list...

If you wanted a 300gr HP.... these are out now and he does have overruns!
45 Ruger Only Cramer HP

Pin options: 1) large HP, 2) penta HP, 3) small HP, 4) cup HP, 5) blank pin for flat nose

Weights for various options: Solid = 327 gr., large/penta hp = 299 gr., small hp = 311 gr., cup hp = 321 gr.

I only shoot the 300 grainers in my 454, and using the Lee 452300 RF out of ACWW at 1550fps, I have not found any need for a HP in this caliber.

I didn't buy one of the Ruger-onlys either. My favorite is still the 45-270-SAA. With this little 454423 being a fun second! :D

Cast some more of both today.....

The NOE definitely has thicker walls on the hollow areas. I guess it depends on how fast you're gonna be shooting them as to which one you like better. :)

Coated some cup points, HPs and a couple of solids yesterday. I changed from green to red in mid-tray and some got overspray.
