Break-in Q's and accessory Q's for an M1A

Ok, not that I have one, I need to break it in. I've been told to strip it and clean everything really well...twice. Then lube well (will the Slick 50 grease work for this? If not, what will, that is available in a gun store?). Then fire 5 slow fire shots, then clean well. Repeat for first 50 shots, using mainly tightly filling patches, not the brush so much. My fiberglass cleaning rod has a cone shaped brass muzzle guide...this should work fine for cleaning, right? How does all this sound?

Accessories: I've been directed to Fred's and D.P.M.S. but I can't find them anywhere. Does anyone have a ph# so I can get a catalog? (Or a website for them?) Any other accessory houses besides those and Cole's? Thanks for the help, guys.

Slick 50 grease works well for me but Tetra gets the nod from Fulton Armory. I've used both and the Tetra does seem to hold up a little better.
I would use the brush some to ensure you get all the machining remnants out of the bore. I use JB Bore paste for my bolt rifles, but I don't know how well this would work through the muzzle. HTH, enjoy.
