Brass & Stainless lever gun... many of these made ???

I love this look, & tried to get one for well over a year, when I finally found an almost un-used one on Gun Broker ( more on it's condition below )... I do see quite a few brass & blued, but seems like much less of the brass & stainless ???

( I'm actually thinking about putting a pair of those brass birdshead grip frames on my polished stainless Montados ) & then polishing the stainless on this rifle to match for my occasional CAS use... shotgun is a nice antique with exposed hammers, doll's head, greener cross bolt & fluid steel barrels

anyone have one ??? thoughts ??? I haven't shot mine much, the firing pin was too short from the factory, where only 1 in 4 or 5 would fire ( barely dimpled the primers ) & I had my buddy make a new firing pin, & remove the safety, so it shoots really nice right now, but it needs some rounds through it, as it's not even broken in yet...

sorry, not a very good pic, but the top gun in this rack...

Your's is the 1st I've seen. I think they look great, but I own 2 SS ROA's and would put a brass grip/trigger guard on them in a heartbeat. It's not traditional and many feel that SS is blasphomy on B/p or classic style guns. I believe there's a place for every variation and function outweighs tradition in some instances.

Thanks for the reply... Mine has a brass frame, forend tip & butt plate, & all the other parts are stainless... it gets really hot & humid around here, & my hands sweat alot... I was really worried about the engraved 357 lever ( 3rd one down in the pic ) that I used last year, picking up rust before I could oil it down... I never had that problem, but feel more comfortable with stainless... my Rugers are polished stainless, & I think they look nice ( could "almost" pass as nickel ??? ) I figured if I polished the stainless on the rifle, it would have a similar look... BTW, don't know if you can tell or not, but it has an octagon barrel, & is a rifle rather than a carbine... but when I shoot CAS, I'm not a "gamer" I'll be shooting classic cowboy, & have always kept track of "my" times, & only compete against myself... if I can get the brass birdshead grip frames, I think the set will look pretty nice...

It's stainless, it's been taken apart by my gunsmith buddy to have the safety removed & a new firing pin installed...

besides stainless & nickel usually have a bit of tint / color / lusture difference... Rossi built a few brass / stainless, but appearently not too many, & perhaps they all had the same firing pin issues mine had when I bought it, & few of them actually got out ???
