I have a Henry 357 and just noticed the slightest tarnish starting on the brass. I'm not inclined to let a patina form. Any suggestions on keeping the brass bright?
IMHO: You might want to check with Henry to see what they prefer for use on their rifles. (brass cleaner/polish.) Your receivers brass may even have a protective film or coat of some sort to help control brass (corrosion.) Won't know for certain until you ask.
Probably should have read the destructions when I got it a year ago. Before I get some neverdull, suppose I should ask Henry. Never asked a manufacturer anything before. Guess I'm just too independent, wife calls it stubborn....go figure. Thanks guys
Sadly, the warm fuzzy feeling I got when I purchased my Henry 357 rifle has dulled about as much as the brass frame has. I tried on 3 separate occasions to email Henry and ask their recommendations for cleaning the brass on my rifle and, apparently they don't give a rip. My last email went to Thomas Kotz, the customer service supervisor, and he don't seem inclined to answer either. I will surely remember this when I am tempted to purchase another Henry product, or to recommend a rifle to a friend. I am forced to conclude may God have mercy on anyone who might ever need service on a rifle from this company that won't even bother answering customer questions.
I reckon so. I'll pick up some nevr dull next week. Its just disappointing, I expected better from Henry. Now I will never do any business with them again. Guess I'll look elsewhere for my grandson's 22.
