Brass and Walnut

I sort of like brass mounted guns with walnut grips.

I like them the same way. Nothing better looking than case hardened, brass and walnut. I had an 1851 Navy and a 3rd model Dragoon years ago that got me hooked on the look. Nice guns.

I've never given them much of a look, but those are some nice, classic looking revolvers.

Was the Colt SAA a fixed sight gun, now with a S&W adjustable rear milled in to the top strap?

Yes. The rear sight is from a S&W N-Frame, the front sight from a Ruger Blackhawk. The backstrap is from a Colt 1851 Navy. The grips I made myself. The rest of the gun is Colt.
