Brand new Win 1300 won't fire

I love Winchester 1300's. My last one was a black shadow model. I sadly sold her to finance my move to Utah from texass. So imagine my glee when my grandfather gave me his brand new never fired 1300, he had bought for a song about 6 years ago from someone that won it at a ducks unlimited dinner.
Imagine my dismay yesterday when I tried to shoot her at the trap range, and it wouldn't fire. You can hear the firing pin or something going "click" when the trigger is pulled, and after slamming the bolt home with all my might I got it to shoot once....
Ideas? Help!!!!

I can't say for sure without taking a look at it (you really need to take it to a gunsmith to get the proper answer), but it sounds like the bolt isn't fully going into battery/locking up; this means that one of the internal safeties isn't releasing, so it's stopping you from firing a shotgun that isn't locked up solid. It might be something as silly as a bunch of grease somewhere in the receiver, or maybe a deformed chamber or lug. The safe and proper thing to do is take it to a smith, and he'll give you the RIGHT answer.

It may be as simple as...

I went to try out my 1300 after acquiring it and all I got was CLICK! No primer strike. I was torqued. The nut at the end of the mag tube was not torqued. :) Apparenty when I reassembled after the initial inspection and cleaning, tighting the nut had slipped my mind. Several days later, as I was leaving to the gunsmith to have it checked out, I noticed my oversight. Next time I pulled the trigger, a wonderful BOOOOOOOOOOOM!
