BPS, good all-around shotgun?

For hunting doves, turkeys, deer, and maybe some skeet shooting, would this be a good gun? I am looking at one, used but in like-new condition, with a 28" barrel and invector chokes. It's a 3" chamber. He wants $350 for it. Is this an all-around good gun? If not, what problems would I face (aside from slightly more difficult to clean)?

My son has one for many years and I borrowed it once or twice for deer hunting and I can say that it performed well. No problems shooting clays and hunting small game.It points really well. I wanted to buy it to make a 75ft. card gun out of it but he won't sell it to me. The only other advice I can give you is check into the price of a new one because I think 350.00 is somewhat high for a used one.

Heads Up

My brother in law has one of these guns. It has worked great for him for a few years. The only things that I would caution you about are that while we are clay shooting on warm/hot days, his gun heats up way too much and he has trouble ejecting shells. Sometimes he has to wait several minutes to let it cool down, and sometimes he has to take it apart and punch the expired shell out with a cleaning rod. The other thing is that it has a problem with some of the cheaper loads that we use for pigeon shooting, and it also doesnt like to cycle those all that well.

If you are looking at the $350 range, why not take a look at a Nova?

I LOVE mine. I'll never regret replacing my 870 with it. Better fit and finish. Smoother action. I'm a lefty and love the bottom feed/eject. Mine is a 12 ga. 2 3-4" 26" barrel. I paid around $400 new. Sounds like a good deal.
