Bounty Hunter/EAA

I have posted before about this gun, problems
with it and EAA customer service, This was
a gun with problems from the very start,(lemon) not sure but spring broke, cyl
would not lock(22/22mag) returned for repair,
when it was returned the screws were all loose, day light was visible between trigger
guard and frame, what I did not know was they
left it that way because it would only work
in that manner. Again returned, cyl would not
turn, etc. They(repaired again?)I received it
and tried to shoot, cyl would not align with
barrel causing lead shaving to blow out the side.
Anyway, In email they said I had abused gun,
after 40 years of buying guns I had never been told that, especially someone who will not lay a gun down on a wood table(use carpet).
I finally gave up and wrote the Flordia attorney general and the German maker of
the Bounty Hunter, any way EAA would not
answer phone calls, email, letters until
today, again told me to return pistol, he was very hostile only wanted to argue.
Sorry for being so long, but I feel this board can help fellow gun buyers,BEWARE;

Hmmm, I looked at them and picked up a used Ruger Super Single Six instead. Glad I did now.

bullet44,
I hear you. I sent EAA a couple of emails asking about accessories for my .45. What I received back was something more along the lines of a smart-a** response. I emailed Tanfoglio and had the exact opposite experience-they were helpful, responsive specific and pleasant. I'm not sure if Tanfoglio makes the Bounty Hunter though. FWIW, my .45 shoots great and I have had 0 malfunctions since I bought it.

Try www.tanfoglio.it .

Good Luck, Mike

Good luck.
