Bought & Shot a Custom Eclipse today!

Wow, this thing is just breath-taking!

I only fired 50 rounds but shot way better with it than my first 300 rounds with my Sig.

Somehow everything remains very linear and predictable with this gun. I’m sure there are better words to describe this but I don’t know them. Maybe its just the weight differential.

Anyway, thrilled with this one! A big thanks to TFL & all of you that helped!

My Custom Eclipse II is a one-handed rifle. My only beef is that I bought it after being told it was a limited run, and thus potentially worth more in the future. It appears they're now making them as regular production, albeit with a slightly different name. So while mine is still a nice pistol, the only thing special about it is the "Custom Shop" rollmark. Whoop-dee-do. :rolleyes:
 
As a Custom CDP owner, I know I can't be impartial. I tried other 1911 styles, but went with Kimber. Yes, every manufacturer will have an instance of problems with the weapon once in a while. But my Kimber shoots like a dream, and looks classy as hell. And I get all tingly when I look at it!!!!!
