Hey all, just brought a Sig P225 with Sig Lites and K-Kote home, and I pick up the P7M8 on Thursday. these were bought specifcally for carry, the Sig for the little lady, the HK for me.
I would like input from anyone who has owned these, including good leather, care and feeding, source for mags, etc......
FWIW, the Sig was $499, the HK $1075. (OUCH!!!!) both NIB.

I have a P226 and P245 (sorry, no P225) and have had very good luck with Galco leather (pancake, IWB, & shoulder rig). I buy the P226 holsters and the P245 also fits them quite well.

I use factory mags only. Tried a Mecgar mag in my P226, didn't like it (jammed a lot). Have seen posts from other TFL'ers that have had good luck with them, though.

I use BreakFree for initial cleaning (remove the grips, spray out the innards, then blow out all the excess) and then RemOil and RemClean for regular cleaning, wiping with a teflon impregnated cloth. Pull the grips every 6-12 months to clean out any accumulation of gunk (depends on how much you shoot it and how much fuzz you collect during carry).

For some strange reason some SiG grip screws have a propensity to rust (!?!). Didn't happen on my P226 until I switched to the Pachmyr grips (the screws sit much deeper in the grip, and I suppose they collect more sweat). I use a penetrating oil with rust preventive on the screws every few months.

I've yet to have either SiG dislike any kind of ball or JHP ammo.
