Bought new CZ40B

Bought a new CZ40B at the gun show this weekend. This is not the CZ75 in 40cal. This is a CZ40B. Inside the box under the foam there is a (Hit Pattern Data Chart) and beside this chart it says (Type of Weapon) and beside this it says Colt Z40.

I shot the gun last evening at my backyard range and it did pretty well. Had one jam out of approx 60 or 70 rounds fired. I do wish the trigger was a little better, in the sa pull there is noticable creep, not nearly as crisp as my CZ75B. On the plus side the accuracy of this pistol is very good.

The gun only came with one mag from the dealer at the show, but two other dealers had the gun and with 2 mags each. I went back to the dealer and he said it only came with one mag, I think I got ripped, but what can you do. I think I will call CZ in Kansas City and ask them if there is anything I can do.

Oh yea, the price at the show ranged from $350 to $380

This must be the pistol I read about in one of the gun mags this week. Designed around the 40cal and looks great. I am interested in this pistol so keep us posted. I am surprised they are out this quick.

If it makes you feel any better, I saw one of these last month. It was priced at about $350 but it also only came with one magazine. I was interested in buying it, but my truck needed tires. Maybe next time.

I handled one a few weeks ago at a gun shop. Very nice piece. Not too heavy, nice sights, pretty good trigger. The grip was okay but I prefer the CZ-75 grip. Price was $299. Marcus

The CZ40 is what CZ called the gun when they offered it themselves after Colt took delivery of a limited number units that were called the Z40. RSR is the distributor and $299 is a good price, I believe that is what RSR was offering them for.

CZ40

I bought one a few weeks ago at a local gun show for $290. I took it to the range and put about 500 rounds through it in a grueling (;-}) afternoon long range session. Not a single malfunction, which is remarkable. I agree though that the trigger needs work, way too much creep. However, the sights are clear and the grip ergonomics are similar (but not identical) to the M1911A1. Bore axis sits low in the hand which suits me perfectly. Been loading up a bunch of .40 to use this coming weekend. IMO it's well worth considering, especially at the price. I've been told that the price will surely go up as it becomes more well known.

I love my CZ 40 B, As well,I have notice the creep in the pull of the trigger, But I am very happy with it's accuracy. 800 rds and never has missed a beat.. BTW,Mine came with 2 clips.. I probably paijavascript:smilied a more than most of you have, But no worries! $419 :D

FWIW, my CZ 40B prefers reloads in 155 grains and not the 180's that I shoot out of my CZ 75B.

I saw a CZ40 at the Harrisburg gun show last weekend for $259 NIB. I was really tempted. It was the DAO model. I thought that was an outstanding price.

10 CFR,

DAO? I thought only the Colt Z40 was DAO. If it was a Colt Z40, that would be an extremely good price.
